I recently re-introduced this old classic to my daily reading. Spurgeon is always encouraging.
Charles H. Spurgeon’s uplifting messages for each day of the year will comfort and refresh you in your walk with God. Spending time with God at the start and the close of each day will bring a new joy in your life. Supplemented by key verses of Scripture, these devotional passages will help you to…
- Experience God’s free favor
- Abide in the presence of God
- Obtain victory through Christ
- Receive help through every trial
- Develop a powerful prayer life
- Have every need met by God
- Discover God’s direction
As you reflect upon God’s Word and His principles, you will find peace about the day you are about to face or the day that has just passed. Spurgeon’s rich biblical insights, extraordinary eloquence, and clarity of logic are interwoven throughout the daily selections to enhance your fellowship with God.
The Baking Grounds is a fantastic bakery and cafe in Buford, GA. Laura and I recently ate lunch there after church. Laura had the Log Cabin breakfast, and I had the Flat Iron Steak with Eggs. Both of our meals were tasty. The bakery has lots of delicious sweets and homemade bread.
My friend, Chuck, recently recommended this show. Laura and I watched the first episode, and I can tell we’re going to be hooked! It is available on Amazon’s Prime Video.
“This series takes a look at what the world might look like had the outcome of World War II turned out differently. In this dystopian scenario, the Axis powers won the war, leading to the United States being divided into three parts, an area controlled by the Japanese, a Nazi-controlled section, and a buffer zone between the two. Despite the oppression, a new hope emerges when films turn up that seem to show a different world. A woman believes the films contain the key to freedom and is determined to find their mysterious guardian.”
The Cereal School allows me to enjoy a childhood-flavored snack without wrecking my eating plan. The Cereal School makes a protein-packed cereal that reminds me of Trix.
“In an act of pure magic, we’ve reinvented the sugary cereals from childhood by replacing the carbs and sugar with high-quality protein and monk fruit (a natural sweetener with zero sugar). No gluten or grains. No long ingredient list with big words. Just a sweet, delightful crunch that will transport you right back to childhood.”
