This short, punchy manifesto is a great read from one of marketing’s brightest minds. Today, you can no longer succeed at work by being unremarkable and just following instructions. Godin’s premise is that no matter how scary it seems, you must choose to be an indispensable linchpin.
A Surprisingly Cool Gadget: Amazon Echo Dot
I was skeptical when I first heard about the Echo Dot smart speaker. A sponsor of a conference I attended a few years ago gave me one and now I love them. The Echo Dot is an affordable way to enjoy music, home automation, connect with friends and family, and do a lot of random things.
A few of my go-to commands include:
- Alexa, turn on my living room lights.
- Alexa, what’s the forecast for today?
- Alexa, tell me a joke.
- Alexa, play Jeopardy.
- Alexa, send a message to Parker.
My mom got an Echo Dot a few months ago and loves it!
